Lamin Jarju named man of the match in Ndiambour draw with US Gorée

Gambian international Lamin Jarju was crowned as the best player of the match as Ndiambour drew goalless with US Goree in the Senegalese Ligue 1 over the weekend.

The Gambian offensive player was in his element in the game putting up a superb performance as his side earned a point in the crunch encounter.

Jarju was pleased with his output and the subsequent Most Valuable Player award as he seeks to do more for his club.

“I gave everything. It was a tough game against an opponent who also needed points.” Jarju stressed.

“Now we will have to win our next home match against Stade de Mbour.”

The talented midfielder further emphasized that he is improving on his game every day as he seeks to reach his full potential.

” I improve in every match, because I carry the team’s hope. Therefore, I need to deliver in every match. Even in our last victory, against my former club Dakar Sacred Coeur, I played well and sent some passes. It was unfortunate our striker didn’t score them. Against Goree too, I kept on knocking their doors and even had two shots on target.

Jarju also indicated that he is enjoying life in “Louga” as many of his countrymen pass there to the top.

“There are a lot of Gambian support here, yes, both Dembo and Pa Omar Jobe passed here. I remember when I came to play here with Dakar Sacred Coeur, there were lots of fans cheering for them.”

“Our next game is against Stade de Mbour and the fans will be allowed in”.

“The man of the match award will motivate me and help me push more because it shows that I am making progress. “He added.
