Ports Authority stun Real de Banjul
Kebba Manneh netted a superb hat trick as Ports Authority walloped Real de Banjil by three goal to One in the Gambian League on Saturday.
Manneh who was the hero of the day for the “Ferry Boys” was glad with his goals as he continues to work hard to attain his objectives for the season.
“This year, I set targets for myself to score as much as possible and that’s the mindset I go with in games. This year I changed my style of play. As a footballer, every game is a chance to score or assist..” Manneh stated after after his heroic exploits.
“Real De Banjul is a big team, scoring a hat trick against them doesn’t come often. I have watched their games and there is lots of space in their defense. That’s what I utilize to bury my chances.”
“We are enjoying the moment, we will fight for the next game, every game is a final for us, we want to win as much as possible.” He added.
Ports gaffer Sheikh Adama Joof was also thrilled to see the defeat of his old rivals and he lauded the players for a good job done.
“We deserve the win, we trained a lot and worked hard a lot for this victory. The difference was the boys were determined and our game plan worked from the onset”
“Kebba Manneh is wonderful, he hasn’t even come to the party yet as compared to what I used to see at training. He deserved more and he will do it. He is wonderful to watch in training. I am lucky to work with such a player.”
On Saturday Ports Authority will take on Gambia Armed Forces while the whites will take on Waa Banjul.
