Ebrima colley’s 84th minute goal earned Atalanta’s Primavera its first league Cup in 21 years
Both Inter Milan and Atalanta’s result this season ended with a 2-1 victory for each. On Friday night at the Tardini stadium in Parma it needed Ebrima Colley’s cool finish to deny Inter Milan its third title on a row. Atalanta finished the regular season with 67 points while Inter Milan came out second with 56 points. The last time Bergamo won the Primavera championship was in 1997/1998 season.
Just as the semi finals play-off against Torino, Colley once again came off the bench to score the sole goal in Fridays night play-off. Kulusevski built the counter and spotted Colley in the box and sent a low pass which Colley controlled with his right foot before lashing it on the right. Ebrima’s last two play-off matches gave him three goals and all goals were wining goals that was rated the highest performer in both matches.
The former Hawks player have been capped twice with the Scorpions in 2019 and was closed to making his Serie A debut. The Midfielder scored 13 goals in 28 matches in all competition for Atalanta.
The Midfielder will now take a deserved break before returning to Bergamo and hence Gasperini is in charge,a potential pre-season inclusion wouldn’t be ruled out after training with the A team most part of the season.
