Gladbach sign Gambian attacking midfielder Lamin Touray

Bundesliga side Borussia Mönchengladbach on Monday unveiled former Borussia Dortmund product Lamin Touray for their developmental team U23.

The Serekunda born spent four years at the Westfalenstadion before moving to join Viktoria Köln U19 after which he has now been snapped up by “Die Fohlen”.

Touray was awarded as the best German U15 player in the 2016/17 season, after helping Dortmund win both the U15 league and the super cup.

He moved to Germany at the age of three and is widely considered as one of the brightest young prospects in German football.

The talented teenager operates as an attacking midfielder in an advanced role just behind the striker as a number 10 but also comfortable in other roles.

Touray describes his move to Monchengladbach on Monday as something good.

” I feel great, it is a Great club.” He emphasized.

He now joins the list of young promising Gambians who are currently with Bundesliga clubs namely Kebba Badjie, Kebba Sillah (Werder Bremen) and Mamin Sanyang (Bayern Munchen).
